NORTHCOM

Special thanks for this goes to the Colorado Independent.

Friends, Farmers, Patriots, lend me your ears. For on this day, I do proclaim the Constitution Dead. I sit in mourning for the document that so many have fought so valiantly to preserve.

I declare it dead, for on the second of November, I discovered that the 3rd Infantry Division's 1st Combat Brigade, considered the Elite Combat Forces, have been stations under NORTHCOM, and been tasked with Homeland Security missions.

Mr. Bush, I cry shame upon you for this action. This is the reason why the Founding Fathers opposed the creation of a Standing Army, for fear that some leader would use it to grasp power against the will of the People.

It is the duty of the Militia, both the unorganized militia made up of every able bodied man between the ages of 18 and 40 and the organized militia of the National Guard and State Defense Forces to conduct such missions on ground within the States, and the Duty of the Coast Guard to conduct such operations on the nation's waterways and in her ports and bays. All of this was outlined in the Posse Comitatus Act.

For the Federal Armed Forces of the United States of America under the Department of Defense to undertake such actions are not only unconstitutional, they are wrong. This can only become a tool of the Tyrant Yet to Come, and handing that future leader (I refer not to my next Commander-in-Chief here, but one who will come later) the tools he will need to rule this country with an Iron Rod.

And that rod shall be wielded in compliance with the Defense Reorganization Act of 2006.

Such a deployment of Active Duty forces into the US has not occurred since 1860, and it makes me think that the Federal Government is expecting something similar is coming.

I call on all citizens of this great country to be watchful. If you see someone agitating for Civil War or Violent Disobedience against the government, try to stop them. We cannot risk a second Civil War now, as the Perfect Storm threatens to come Ashore.
